Mah Jong The
Game of the Art Deco Period |
| A game we fell in love with
in the mid-1960s is Mah Jong. At the time we did not realize it was
a game from the Art Deco Period, but have since discovered that our
Rosewood Ivory and wood set was circa 1923, and we recently purchased
a set we feel is Bakelite, that also seems to date from the 1920-1930s,
according to the pictures. |

| We have recently taken up
playing this game again, and Pat plays with two groups. One group plays
the American Version, the other group is learning the Chinese Version. If
you are a Mah Jong fan, or would like to know more about the game, please
contact Pat, or your web master. |
